The never ending flat file.

Absolute mayhem.

This is what my flat file looks like after the holidays. Looking for that tiny scrap of blue blossom paper in drawer upon drawer of prints is one of my studio nightmares. I give up on a regular basis and just pull out all my papers to find one tiny piece. Having a large stock is great but I never know when I might run out of something and the possibility of over-selling a print this season was stress making to say the least. My flat file is the first on my fix it list and soon I will have some photos of a new way to sort my chaos, I hope it works like I envision it....

Time off....

I'm taking some time this week to remodel my studio. The holiday rush always ends in piles of paper, envelopes, little boxes and absolute chaos. It seems the end of Christmas season always starts a cathartic restructuring of my workspace and I am diving in head first. I am inspired well by beautiful studio spaces, good lighting and simple uncluttered spaces so bit by bit I am hoping to transform my piles of stuff into a warm and inspirational environment. I will be sharing the process & progress as I go so check back for lots of problem solving, photos of mess and hopefully photos of a gorgeous workspace.

Wow! I didn't mean to be gone so long and I have sooooooo much to report. As some of you know one of my Scrabble Pendants was featured in Parent magazine holiday gift guide and it literally swept me off my Etsy feet.
