Hello Studio, I'm home!

Before:

After:

I spent a lot of time pulling papers from my flat file this past year, all of them, out and on the floor or the couch, just to find one specific print. I have so many designs it has been impossible to organize them, until now. Although I am hard-pressed to hang up my clean clothes, there is something very satisfying about hanging up my papers. I can see each and every style, how much I have left, what I need more of or what I have too much of (yeah, buying the same print 3 separate times because I can't remember if I have them or not isn't the most practical way to run a business). This new system not only looks pretty, it makes my whole organization much easier and now the flat file is for my book papers, album pages and things I actually bought it for in the first place. I loveeeee my new paper corner! *Yay Me*

On another note, some of you may have noticed my newest line, the Looking Glass pendants. These are made from my own photographs and printed with an incredibly high quality printer (Christmas present to myself, thank you very much :O) ). These pendants are fast becoming the best thing I ever made. Part of my trip to the coast was done with the intention to increase my stock of great photography. I took some gorgeous shots and should be coming out with a full line in the next week or so (very excited!) Anyhow, I love and cherish these new pieces so much that I am actually going to discontinue the washi line. It will be a long while before they are all gone from my shop (did you see all that paper above?) but to increase the speed at which I can replace them the price has been lowered from $15 back to $11 indefinitely. So happy shopping and stay tuned, the newest pieces are enough to make me giddy!

Happy Wednesday :)

Is it wrong that I want to run my hands (and maybe face) through your papers, like willow tree branches? The studio looks fantastico, ladybird.

Ryan - I'm really impressed with how you've been thinking out of the box to reoganize your work room. It just looks great.

I had an idea for you on cutting down the buying of extra papers. If you have an iPod, or some other MP3 player that can show pictures, you should take quick snapshots of your papers in color groupings. This way you can carry them with you and consult the pictures before you make a purchase. Might save you some extra moola. ;)

Yazmin, I love that idea. I am always so forgetful when paper shopping (amnesia? :) ) I can never remember if I have too many of one print or am completely out. The photo catalogue is a great idea!

Love that paper corner ! Had to laugh at your buying the same paper over and over, I've done that too only to find the same piece a few weeks later grrr ! So far all my papers are in one big drawer, with small bits and pieces in plastic bags, sigh.

Lovely photo pendants, the images are so crisp and fresh. I'm sure you're going to do really well with these ! And seeing all those tins...what fun !
