After:
Organizing my stock has always been a trick. Before I started repeating styles I would make 100 or so different pendants all at once. I'd make all various prints and patterns & photograph & list them all until a new batch was needed. Once I figured out that with a light table (duh) and a little practice I could create almost identical pieces, I had more time to make stock and more stock to organize. Storing each individual print became a nightmare. I never new how many I had and the fear of overselling and not making replacements fast enough was a real one. I kept them all in ziplock bags, each print sorted (mostly) by style or paper type. Through the holidays I had bags everywhere, on the floor, in drawers, behind my desk and even other parts of my home. Not knowing what I had and what I needed to be making more of was a real stress factor. I don't have the time/patience for inventory sheets and if I can't find what I am looking for I make more, which can create a lot of overstock. I needed to be able to see my whole line, in one place, all neat and tidy.
So I went on a hunt and with total serendipity I found these cute plastic boxes at Storables They were the perfect solution to my inventory nightmare. Now everything is all lined up on my new shelf, ordered by print, style and color. It is so nice to see exactly what I have, no more over selling, no more hunting and best of all no more overstock, now I can see if I need it before I make it. This is a SERIOUS time saver & it looks awesome too!
Yay me!

They look awesome! I love your organization and I'm so envious of your insane amount of stock! I wish I wasn't swamped with school and that I could build up stock like that!
Very cool!!! I scrapbook and store my chipboard letters in the same boxes.

Thanks for the link! I found a shark item there and looking for something that will work for all my small pieces.
Seriously Ryan, you cease to amaze with this revamp of your work room. I would love for my jewelry to lend itself to something like this. (I may have said this already. lol)
When you're done posting about all the changes, you should submit a story to one of the design blogs. This has been totally worthy.
I can so identify with buying more because you can't find what you have. Looks like you are well on the way to having a lot more time.
Now what are you going to do with that time is the real question? I see much more creative ideas in the future.
Great job. Can't wait to see finished pictures of the entire space.

I love looking at your posts to see how you have cleared up your workspace. Fancy a trip to the UK to do mine? :)
So cool! They remind me of the way lego stores have one wall dedicated to all the different colorful pieces :)
An amazing operation! Wow!
